The 1018 Forged wedges are an evolution of our original Hand Ground Forged wedges that we first introduced in 2003. After making thousands of hand ground wedges we started seeing certain grinds that were standing out in each of our 3 swing types. We decided to take these grinds and convert them into a retail line that could be in the hands of the customer much faster and at a lower cost than the Hand Ground Forged wedges. Certain grinds are more successful in certain lofts so in our retail lines you will find one grind in each swingtype for 47°,50°,53°,56° and another for 58° and 60°. The 1018s are forged from 1018 carbon steel and hand ground to 1 of 6 different grinds, each uniquely designed to fit 1 of our 3 swing types. Like all Scratch Golf clubs, the 1018 Forged wedges provide a very clean look unique to the Scratch Golf brand, which allows for additional personalization to further customize the clubs for the player.
