Scratch Golf Custom Studio Digger / Driver “DOG” Grind 48 Degree Wedge with Raw Finish In Bag of PGA Tour Player That Tied for 9th Place at AT & T PB Pro Am

Eugene, OR A Scratch Golf (www.scratchgolf.com) wedge was in the bag of a player that tied for 9th place at last weekend’s PGA Tour AT & T Pebble Beach Pro Am which was completed Sunday at the famed Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California. Scratch Golf’s Custom Studio “DOG” grind, 48 degree wedge was used en route to Scratch Golf’s highest PGA Tour finish of the 2008 season to date. Last November at the PGA Tour’s 2007 Children’s Miracle Network Classic in Orlando, Florida, this same wedge and two other Scratch wedges earned a tie for 3rd place, which is still the highest PGA Tour finish to date for the young premium golf wedge and iron company. Scratch Golf became the # 1 Forged Wedge on the Nationwide Tour over the past 12 weeks of that 2007 Nationwide Tour season. Scratch wedges also earned status as an Award Winner on Rankmark’s 2007-8 “Best of the Best” Wedges list that was published over the winter.

“We are excited to be picking up on the PGA Tour where we left off on the Nationwide last year,” Scratch Golf President and CEO Ari Techner stated. “We would like to congratulate the gentleman that used our wedge for his top ten last weekend and wish him continued success throughout the year. We have already had a lot of success very early this year on the PGA Tour and we look forward to more and more players using our wedges and irons throughout the rest of the season.”

Eugene, ORScratch Golf (www.scratchgolf.com) wedges were named an Award Winner on Rankmark’s 2007-8 “Best of the Best” Wedges list that was published recently. Rankmark is dedicated to finding which golf equipment is preferred by golfers and reporting that to the public. They are known throughout the golf industry as objective and their objective testing and analysis has frequently uncovered new golf equipment “finds” before the mainstream golfing public discovers them.

“We are very proud to be a Rankmark 2007-8 Best of the Best Award winner in the wedge category,” Scratch Golf President and CEO Ari Techner observed. “Rankmark has been a respected independent evaluator of golf equipment for many years and Charlie Mandel and his team really have their finger on the pulse of the average golfer and their needs, likes and dislikes. The testing done by the people at Rankmark is objective but always incorporates the human element. We are very happy to be recognized with this award and we hope that the attention we receive from it will encourage more golfers to try the best wedges in golf.”

Scratch Golf has confirmed that Tag Ridings had three Scratch wedges in his bag as he fought through six grueling rounds of the PGA Tour’s final stage of Q-School, which ended December 3rd at Orange County National Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. Ridings began using Scratch wedges in mid-summer as he played a mixture of PGA and Nationwide Tour events down the final stretch of the 2007 Professional Golf Season. Tag had his best finish on the PGA Tour in 2007 at the Children’s Miracle Disney Classic, which ended on November 4th. Scratch wedges were along for the ride at that event and earned their highest ever PGA Tour finish thanks to Mr. Ridings’ third place tie. Tag Ridings uses Scratch Golf Tour Department (aka “Custom Studio”) grinds with lofts of 48, 52 (which splits time with a hybrid, depending on the course layout), 56 and 60 degrees and feature Scratch’s “antique” finish.

“We at Scratch Golf are proud that Tag Ridings brought us along for his very productive end of season stretch run,” Scratch Golf President and CEO Ari Techner stated. “Tag has been exempt on the PGA Tour for several years now and he is a guy that truly knows how to grind it out and do what it takes to get the job done. Short game and wedge play is the key when you need to grind it out and we are pleased that Tag believes in us enough to put us in his bag week in and week out. Our heartfelt congratulations go out to Tag for his successful Q-School effort in earning his way back to the PGA Tour for 2008. We look forward to supporting his efforts on Tour next year and we believe that with the way he’s finished out the season, Tag has a great shot at earning a win or two on the PGA Tour in 2008.”

“Scratch Golf wedges are fantastic,” Ridings commented. “I really like the feel that their forgings provide, especially when combined with the antique finish. Scratch wedges also have grooves that are much more consistent than anything I’ve used to date. They are not tricked up to spin excessively and so they provide me with an ability to control my wedge shots that is better than anything else on the market. I plan to keep on playing my Scratch wedges in 2008. With my top ten finish at Q-School, I’m excited to be able to do that for most of the West Coast swing that kicks off the season starting in January.”

Three Scratch Golf wedges were in the bag of a PGA Tour Player that earned a tie for 3rd place at the 2007 PGA Tour “Children’s Miracle Network Classic”, which was completed yesterday at the Magnolia and Palms Golf Clubs in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The tie for 3rd was highest ever finish on the PGA Tour for Scratch Golf, which has become the # 1 Forged Wedge on the Nationwide Tour over the past 12 weeks of that Tour’s season.

“We are very proud to have earned our highest finish yet on the PGA Tour,” Scratch Golf CEO Ari Techner began. “While we have had a lot of success this year on the Nationwide Tour, it is the ultimate stamp of approval for a golf equipment manufacturer to have success on the PGA Tour given its status as the top golf tour in the world. We hope and expect to have more and more PGA Tour players using our wedges in 2008 and beyond. Congratulations to the player that earned a top three using Scratch Wedges. It was his best finish of the year and this success should serve him well in the future in terms of confidence and momentum. We are proud that we were featured on pgatour.com’s Shot of the Day for Saturday. It was a holed out bunker shot for birdie and was quite spectacular. Thanks to everyone on Tour that has tried or uses our wedges. We look forward to having more of a presence on the PGA Tour in the future.”

Scratch Golf earned a top five finish at the PGA Nationwide Tour Championship, which was held at Barona Creek Golf Club in Lakeside, California near San Diego. In less than two years on the Nationwide Tour, Scratch Golf became the # 1 Forged Wedge on the Nationwide Tour during the last 12 events of the 2007 season. The 5th place finish by Brenden Pappas was the highest ever for Scratch Golf at the Nationwide Tour Championship, which is the premiere event for the Nationwide Tour. Pappas used a Scratch Golf JLM Series “PDG” grind 60 degree wedge en route to his third top five finish of the year. The money earned at the Nationwide Tour Championship helped Brenden to secure 22nd place on the Tour Money List which earned him a PGA Tour Card and exempt status on the 2008 PGA Tour.

“It’s been a tremendously difficult last five weeks of the season trying to hang on and make my way back to the PGA Tour,” 2008 PGA Tour Pro Brenden Pappas related. “I really believe that the combination of being able to grind the sole to any configuration with the soft feel provided by Scratch’s forgings sets Scratch Golf apart from every other wedge maker. I was glad to have my Scratch wedge with me throughout this struggle and am so pleased to have made it back to the PGA Tour for 2008.”

“We at Scratch Golf congratulate Brenden Pappas for earning his way back to the PGA Tour for 2008,” Scratch Golf CEO Ari Techner stated. “We have had a lot of success on the Nationwide Tour and have become close to a lot of the players out there. Last year we had one of the guys using our wedges graduate to the PGA Tour through Q-School. It is even more satisfying to have been following Brenden each week as he fought his way back onto the PGA Tour by cracking the Top 25 on the Nationwide Money Leader List. We have been pulling for him all the way and we wish him all the best in 2008 on the PGA Tour. As the 2007 Nationwide Tour season comes to a close we at Scratch want to thank everyone who has tried our wedges and irons. We have learned a lot from you and we do value your feedback. Players keep telling us that we have more to offer than any other manufacturer with our ability to match grinds to swing types and the super soft 1018 Carbon steel we use which is so important in giving players feel in their short game. Our congratulations, once again, go out to Brenden Pappas. It’s been a thrill for us to be a small part of his success.”
