Three Scratch Golf wedges were in the bag of a player that garnered a tie for 10th place at the 2007 PGA Nationwide Tour “Miccosukee Championship”, which was held at the Miccosukee Golf and Country Club in Miami, Florida. Scratch Golf also reported that it had 20 wedges in play at the Miccosukee Championship, which was its highest total for the year. This total made Scratch Golf a runaway winner as the # 1 Forged Wedge on the Nationwide Tour for the week. Over the last 12 weeks, Scratch Golf has had more wedges in play on the Nationwide than any other forged wedge maker in golf. Additionally, 6 Scratch Golf SB-1 grind blade irons were in play as well.
“This was the best week yet for Scratch Golf on the PGA Nationwide Tour,” Scratch Golf PGA Tour Rep Paul Friedrich stated. “Heading into the Nationwide Tour Championship this week, we want to wish all of the guys out there the best of luck. We also want to express our gratitude to every Nationwide player that has tried our wedges. As always, we are committed to serving all PGA Tour Players to the utmost of our ability. With our unique ability to custom grind every wedge and iron we produce, we are proud to be able to offer more options to these great players than any other equipment company in golf. The word about what we can do is getting around among Tour players and this is reflected in the continual increase of the number of Scratch wedges and irons that are in play each week.”

Scratch Golf wedges earned a tie for 3rd at the PGA Nationwide Tour’s “Chattanooga Classic”, which was held yesterday at Black Creek Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Scratch wedges were used by this 2007 PGA Tour exempt player as he stormed to the top of the leaderboard with an opening round, ten under par 62. This world class PGA Tour Player has been using Scratch wedges on the PGA Tour since June of 2007. On the Nationwide Tour, Scratch Golf has had more forged wedges in play over the past 10 weeks than any other forged wedge manufacturer.
“It was another great week for us out on the Nationwide,” Scratch Golf PGA Tour Rep Paul Friedrich observed. “In two of the last three or four events we’ve had the first round lead, as we did in Chattanooga. We feel that it’s only a matter of time before we get our first win out here, which would be great. We are very pleased that so many of our wedges are in play every week on the Nationwide as we head into the final two events of the season, the Miccosukee Championship in Florida and the Nationwide Tour Championship in California. Our congratulations to this week’s Scratch top ten finisher and our thanks go out to all of the players that choose to use our wedges.”

Scratch Golf wedges were in the bag of the co-leader of the first round of yesterday’s PGA Nationwide Tour “Boise Open” which is being contended at Hillcrest Country Club in Boise, Idaho. After missing a playoff by one stroke on the 18th hole of last weekend’s “Oregon Classic” Nationwide event, the first round co-leader has retained his stellar play one state to the east. The 4th round finish last weekend was the highest of the year for this great player who has climbed to 31st on the money leader list. Using his Scratch wedges, the co-leader shot a 29 on the back nine and seems poised to continue his assault on the Nationwide Tour’s Top 25 Money Leader List, which holds a ticket to a full exemption to the 2008 PGA Tour.

Scratch Golf wedges earned two more top tens on the PGA Nationwide Tour at last week’s 2007 “Oregon Classic”, which was held at Shadow Hills CC in Junction City, Oregon. Scratch Golf was the # 1 Forged Wedge on the Nationwide Tour once again. As this week’s Nationwide “Boise Open” starts today, Scratch Golf officials anticipated that six more of their wedges would be in play at the Hillcrest CC in Boise which would almost certainly insure another week as the # 1 Forged Wedge on the Nationwide for this young up and coming premium equipment manufacturer.
“What a great week it was for us at Scratch Golf,” Paul Friedrich, Scratch Golf’s Tour Rep observed. “With our Master Grinder, Jeff McCoy, available to the players, we had over 10% of the field through our shop having wedges and irons built over the week. As we deliver these wedges to the players, we expect more and more product in play. The word is spreading like wild fire and it was absolutely the most exciting week we have had yet to date on Tour. Jeff McCoy, Ari Techner, Chad Techner, Jon Eggling and Patrick Boyd of our team were a great help to me and we all worked our tails off but it was truly a thrill. Congrats to our two top ten players and thanks to every player who visited with us or had us build them product. It was an honor and a pleasure to work with all of you on our ‘home turf’.”

Scratch Golf has confirmed that its wedges earned the position as the # 1 Forged Wedge on the Nationwide Tour for at least the second time in a month. Despite the fact that Scratch Golf does not pay players to use its products, Scratch Golf is earning the respect of some of the top players in the world and more and more of them are turning to Scratch equipment to improve their wedge play. Scratch Wedges set a company high in terms of number of wedges in play last week. With the Nationwide Tour in Junction City, Oregon this week, Scratch Company officials expect to eclipse that number and grab the # 1 ranking again this week. Scratch Golf is a regional sponsor of the “Oregon Classic” Nationwide event which begins tomorrow at Shadow Hills, CC in Junction City, less than 30 minutes away from Scratch Golf’s world Headquarters in Eugene.

Scratch Golf announces today that it will be hosting a booth all week starting today in support of its regional sponsorship of this week’s PGA Nationwide Tour Event the “Oregon Classic Presented by Kendall Automotive Group”. The yearly Nationwide Tour Stop will be held at Shadow Hills Country Club in Junction City, Oregon, which is about twenty minutes from Scratch Golf’s world headquarters in the Eugene area. Scratch Golf wedges have earned an outstanding reputation out on the Nationwide Tour and last month earned its place as the # 1 Forged Wedge on the PGA Nationwide Tour*. As always, Scratch Golf PGA Tour Representative Paul Friedrich will be on hand to provide insight and assistance to Tour players that currently use or are interested in learning about Scratch Golf’s line of premium forged, super soft 1018 Carbon Steel wedges. Scratch CEO Ari Techner and Scratch Chief Design Engineer & Master Grinder Jeff McCoy will be employing the “Trackman” state of the art launch monitoring system which will be set up for the players to dial in their clubs while being projected on a 40” LCD flat screen TV monitor. A 3D scanner will also be used for players interested in replicating a favorite wedge using Scratch Golf’s premium 1018 Carbon super soft technology. Jeff McCoy will then take this information and grind the desired wedges for the Tour players right there on the spot.
The public will also be catered to by Scratch Golf at the Oregon Classic. Custom Golf Sales Director Patrick Boyd will work with attendees to find just the right grind for their swings at a hitting net in the “demo” section of the booth. Scratch Golf COO Chad Techner will be working with guests at computer stations which will allow the public to preview Scratch Golf’s Online Custom Design Studio, which will debut later this month. One computer station will be broadcast on the LCD screen so passersby can watch others design their own wedge. All told, a grand time will be had for all that visit the Scratch Booth all week at the PGA Nationwide Tour “Oregon Classic”.
“It is really an exciting time for all of us at Scratch Golf,” Scratch Golf CEO Ari Techner commented. “While we attend the ‘Oregon Classic’ every year, this year especially feels like a celebration of all the positive things that are happening here at Scratch. We have had another outstanding year on tour so far, we earned a spot as the # 1 Forged Wedge on the Nationwide last month, our sales for August set a new company record and we have an amazing online Custom Design Studio that we are a week or two away from being ready to launch and which we are previewing this week. While we will be super busy at the booth all week, we hope to have a lot of fun and we know that anybody that comes by to visit will have a great time. We are really pleased with where we are as a company right now and we invite everyone that can to visit our booth at the ‘Oregon Classic’. We’ll be here all week for the practice rounds and throughout the weekend.”
