Scratch Golf is very excited and proud to announce the new Scratch Golf by James Ingles Handmade putters. These putters are completely one of a kind and hand made by the craftsmen at the Charles Hellis and Sons Firearm company in London (www.hellis.com), a high end custom firearm company that makes rifles and shotguns with a base price of a little over $50,000. James Ingles father owns Hellis and Sons and James grew up working at the family business as well as pursuing the game of golf. It is due to this special relationship that the craftsmen at Hellis have turned their incredible talents for hand shaping, hand engraving and hand finishing metal to work making putters for James Ingles and Scratch Golf.
These putters are like nothing the industry has never seen before, using old world craftsmanship like shaping with files, chisels and sandpaper instead of a CNC mill. Any head shape and literally any specs can be created and the incredible finishing work, hand engraving and precious metal inlays can truly create a one of a kind putter the likes of which nobody has ever seen before.
Keep in mind when you look at the pictures on this page and if you see the pictures on the linked story below on GolfWRX or anywhere else that there is no paintfill in any of these putters. It is all precious metal inlay like 24k gold, sterling silver and copper. The face inserts are 24k gold, sterling silver and copper as well and so are the handmade ferrules and logo discs. All of the engraving, from the incredibly intricate small scroll work to the Scratch logos are completely done by hand.
We will start taking orders for these putters February 1st and they will have a base price of $999. Anyone that is interested can contact Scratch President/CEO Ari Techner personally at ari@scratchgolf.com.
